PolarwynClient Zero
Don’t take our word for it. Watch it work on us first.
Every marketing company has a case study. Ours is being written in public, one month at a time. We run the exact system we sell on Polarwyn itself, and publish the numbers: the good months, the slow ones, all of it.
- Day zero
- 26 Oct 2026
- First report
- 1 Dec 2026
- Then
- Monthly, by the 5th working day
- Numbers
- Our own, only
01Why
A method you can watch beats a promise.
Most marketing companies show you someone else’s results, chosen, polished and impossible to check. We’d rather show you our own, as they happen. If the system works, you’ll see it work. If a month is slow, you’ll see that too, along with what we changed.
02The ledger
Where we start.
No reviews. No map listing. Nobody searching for our name yet. Dated screenshots, kept as the baseline. Each month adds a column.
| Measure | Day zero | Next |
|---|---|---|
| Booked calls from search | 0 | 1 Dec |
| Clients | 0 | 1 Dec |
| Google reviews | 0 | 1 Dec |
| Google Maps listing | Not yet | 1 Dec |
| Named in AI answers | Not yet | 1 Dec |
03The log
Day by day, in the open.
Every step we take on Polarwyn, logged the day it happens: what we built, what we changed and why, what we learned. The North Reports land here too.
Day 4 Today. To be continued.
October 2026 3 days · 9 steps
Day 3
Milestone
We went live.
polarwyn.com is open to the public
Built
Locked the server itself before going live.
Folder listings are off, WordPress's own files can't be reached, nothing uploaded can run as a script, and security updates install themselves.
Built
Started this log.
From today, every step we take on Polarwyn is written down the day it happens.
3 more steps this day
Built
Locked the common doors without a security plugin.
Five wrong passwords lock a login for 15 minutes, the old XML-RPC door is shut, usernames stay private and the dashboard can no longer edit code. A few lines of our own code instead of a heavy plugin, so the site stays fast.
Changed
Took the clock times off our pages.
Each page showed an hour above its headline, part of the night story. A UX review found a lone time reads as a publish date or opening hours, so it went. On Home the hours now sit inside short story lines.
Changed
Replaced our cookie plugin with consent built into our own theme.
No banner until analytics is switched on; after that, nothing tracks anyone until they say yes. One plugin fewer to load and keep updated.
2 smaller changes
- Added the LiteSpeed Cache plugin
- Updated Kadence Blocks to 3.8.1
Day 2
Built
Rebuilt the free audit: 18 checks, one North Score.
18 checks across Found, Seen, Chosen and Booked, scored into one North Score out of 100. Free public tools only, and the report arrives in 2 working days.
Built
Built our website: one long night, from 9:41 pm to 8:01 am.
Every page follows a customer's night, from searching in the dark to the call in the morning, under a sky where every star turns except Polaris. Built on WordPress, so our own team can edit every word.
Day 0
Milestone
Day zero.
No reviews. No map listing. Nobody searching for our name yet. This is the starting point every later month is measured against.
04The plan
The same path we sell.
Day zero
October 2026
We capture where we start, with dated screenshots kept as the baseline.
North Report #1
1 December 2026
Covering 26 October to 27 November.
Every month after
From January 2027
A North Report by the 5th working day of the month, covering the month before.
05The rules
What we publish, and what we don’t.
- Our own numbers only: traffic, rankings, followers, reviews and enquiries
- Slow months included, with what we’re changing
- No client data without written permission
- No numbers before they exist. Until 1 December, the ledger stays at zero.
